SUMMARY OF OVERSEAS EVENTS FOR HM THE QUEEN

CMB (

1. As on previous similar occasions, Information Department wi be required to collate a Summary of Overseas Events for submission to The Queen, twice during her forthcoming visit to Kenya, Bangladesh and India, and again upon her return. The first summary should cover the main events of the period 9-13 November; the second those during 14-20 November and the third those during 21-24 November. Items should be as concise as possible but should be more informative than routine news items. A Summary normally contains items up to "Confidential" but may if necessary be classified "Secret" to cover particularly sensitive items.

2.

I should be grateful if Departmental contributions could be sent in draft to Mr Dickinson in Guidance Section, Information Department (Room OABG/61, Old Admiralty Building, telephone 273 4230) to arrive not later than 10.00 am on (i) Monday 14 November, (ii) Monday 21 November, (iii) Friday 25 November.

3.

Nil returns are required and should be telephoned to Mr Dickinson.
