Action Taken

The High Commissioner wrote to the Prime Minister on 21 October to convey the text of a message from Mr Trudeau. This message recorded a conversation which Mr Trudeau had had with the Chinese Foreign Minister on the future of Hong Kong.

I have now been instructed to inform you that the enclosed message from Mrs Thatcher to Mr Trudeau has been sent to the British High Commission in Ottawa for onward transmission to your Prime Minister.
