PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO CANADA AND THE UNITED STATES: 25-30 SEPTEMBER 1983
1. I should welcome comments on the latest, drafts of the general briefs for the Prime Minister's visit to Canada and Washington, attached, which have been amended to take account of discussion at the Cabinet Office meeting on 14 September, chaired by Mr Goodall) and some other developments. Since time is tight, the drafts are going out simultaneously under cover of a letter from Mr Ure to other interested Whitehall Departments, some of whom were present at the Cabinet Office meeting. It is also being copied to DUS's.
