As for the New Zealanders, so far as I know they have shown no particular interest in Hong Kong here in London.

They are not getting JIC material. Nonetheless, Zhao may well spin them a line and there may be advantage therefore in our offering the New Zealanders some points for defensive use. Again, either here or in Wellington we could offer the HC or the Foreign Minister an update on the situation, albeit in less detail than the briefing for the Australians.
