At the request of the US Consulate-General, I gave a briefing on the future on 10 January to a group of visiting congressmen and staffers led by Congressman Joseph Addabbo. You may wish to have the enclosed note of the meeting for the record. I am sorry that it has taken so long to prepare.

I also enclose a list of those accompanying Congressman Addabbo. The group were here for essentially R&R purposes as part of a tour of the region undertaken in their capacity as members of (I think) the Defence Appropriations Sub-Committee of the House Budget Committee.
