Liaowang interview with Xu Dixin

AFB

Our press coverage telegram number 1773 of 21 November included a reference (para.3) to an interview given by the Chinese Economist Xu Dixin to the Peking journal "Liaowang".

2.

The interview may be rather dated and is along fairly standard lines. In my limited acquaintance with the public- ation, Liaowang seems rarely to carry up to the minute stories. This interview in itself, therefore, seems unlikely to mark any major resurgence of propaganda. If only for the record, then, you may wish to see the enclosed translation of the China News Service summary of the interview.
