UNSTARRED Mr Hal Miller: To ask the Prime Minister, NO. 84 to the reference in the Gracious Speech to the (W)

future of Hong Kong, how she proposes to consult the people of Hong Kong on any solution that may be reached with the People's Republic of China; and if she will make a statement.

:

The views of the people of Hong Kong will continue

to be taken fully into account at all stages.

As part of the regular process of consultation,

the Governor and the unofficial members of his

Executive Council are now in London. Other groups

and individuals in Hong Kong regularly make their

views known to the Hong Kong Government directly

or through channels such as the district boards.
