Students debate HK's future: A report from Wen Wei Po's London correspondent said about 60 HK students studying at Southampton University attended a debate on "HK people to administer HK" on 5 March. The motion which maintained that China's regaining of sovereignty with HK people administering HK affairs had positive effects on HK's future was carried.

Mr. Ke Hua hosts reception: Wen Wei Po prominently reported that the outgoing Chinese Ambassador in London, Mr. Ke Hua, gave a reception on 7 March at Selfridges Hotel to say farewell to British officials and the diplomatic corps. Lord MacLehose attended. The following day, the Foreign Secretary, Mr. Francis Pym, hosted a luncheon in honour of Mr. Ke at which the Governor was present.
