I think it is very likely that there will be important meetings in London on Hong Kong from early January onwards. These would probably not require Sir P Cradock to attend the office full (or even half) time. But I should be surprised if he did not want to keep in close touch with developments, check the drafting of supporting papers, and attend the meetings themselves.
