Your Excellency,
We the undersigned are presently on a special commission to the United Kingdom and Portugual seeking politicians' views on the futures of Hong Kong and Macau which are virtually the same.
It strikes us that though Gibraltar and Hong Kong re so different in size, the two territories do have many spects comparable. It is therefore our cordial wish to travel to the territory and exchange views with prominent figures.
It shall be more than honour for us to have an interview ith Your Excellency who has led the territory's government for more than ten years.
Due to tightness of our programme, it is a pity the only veriod we can stay in Gibraltar is the week from December 5 to 9. Therefore we do hope Your Excellency grant us the honour by sparing some hours during those days.
We also hope the trip may assist in promoting knowledge about Gibraltar among our readers throughout long ong, Macau and Southeast, Asia.
