1. The 'Free China Weekly' of 24 July, the wholly disinterested organ of the KMT authorities in Taiwan, speculates that Hong Kong's Future under Communist control will follow the pattern of Saigon after the North Vietnamese take-over:

'in fact we wouldn't be surprised if they changed the name of Hong Kong to 'Teng Hsiao-ping City".

2. This seems quite a good idea. Let Deng-grad follow where Leningrad led. Certainly Ho Chi Minh City has proved a fitting monument to Uncle Ho. Deng City has a certain ring to it, and would be a natural development of Fragrant Harbour. Can you think of good alternative Chinese characters for Deng Cheng? Deng Shi is easy.
