Visit to Hong Kong by CDS
10.
Field Marshal Sir Edwin Bramall, CDS, will be visiting Hong
Kong from 29 September to 5 October.
11. This is a long-planned visit, publicly announced as being in his capacity as Colonel of his Regiment, the Second Gurkha Rifles. He
will of course have talks with CBF and inspect all three services.
12. The CDS was originally scheduled to arrive in Hong Kong on
27 September, but given the coincidence with Mr Luce's visit and the
talks in Peking his presence could have been misinterpreted.
therefore decided to postpone his arrival by 24 hours.
