1. Before going on leave, Mr Luce saw a copy of Hong Kong telno 1138 of 4 August giving a suggested programme for his forthcoming visit. Mr Luce would be grateful for your advice on priorities.

Mr Luce also saw Hong Kong telno 1137 of 4 August; he would certainly be interested in visiting the Services and also attending a District Board Meeting as suggested in paragraph 2 of that telegram.
3. Mr Luce did not have time to consider whether there are any particular people he would like invited to the Government House dinner. If your Department have any suggestions, I would be grateful if you would submit these for Mr Luce to see on his return.

I am attaching a copy of a letter from Sir Arthur Norman to Dr Philip Kwok. Mr Luce would like you to ensure that he meets Dr Kwok during his visit to Hong Kong.
