The Government consider it
important that the UN should have a detailed and up-to-
date picture of conditions.
We remain convinced that
our efforts in the UN have led to a wider understanding
of the problems of the remaining dependent territories
which is reflected in the generally balanced reports
produced by the Committee of 24.
