PRIVATE MEMBER'S MOTION : DEPENDENT TERRITORIES

1.

I attach as requested draft points to make and background on Hong Kong. Given the broad nature of the motion, it is very difficult to predict what points may be raised, but these are the ones that have attracted most Parliamentary interest in the past.

2.

I would suggest that points on Hong Kong only need to be included in the draft speech if they are raised during the debate.

3.

I would be happy to discuss further when you have a clearer indication of the wording of the motion.
