The Frisoner was interviewed at Stanley Prison on 28.8.81. not impress to be remorseful and seemed queer as he at times gave a sneer. Throughout the enquiry, he was cooperative in giving information on his past history. ile frankly admitted that he was resentful towards his uncle, Mr. Char ding-chuen, who had queried him for the stolen money in July 1980. Thus, he had an intention to revenge on him. However, he denied his part in the murder and claimed that he intended to ask the deceased, Madam HO siu-tuen, for money only. Whereas, both murders were done by his friend 'liung Chai'. However, he was unable to give the address and telephone number of 'hung Chai'. Thus his allegation seemed doubtful. As he insisted on his innocence, he did not ask for any commutation of his sentence.
Summary
The Prisoner was born in a lower class family which did not seem to provide adequate parental care. Being playful and having lost his interest in schooling, he took up employment at a young age. For almost seven years, he had been working and livin, in his uncle, Mr. CHAII Bing-chuen's company. Seemingly, he was well taken care of and strictly supervised by his uncle. Claiming to be out of his resentment for being queried of the stolen money, he admitted to have an intention to revenge on his uncle, but denied his part in the murder crime which was said to be done by his friend 'ung Chai'. However he failed to give the address and telephone number of 'Hung Chai ' and thus the existence of the above-named person appeared doubtful. Insisting on his innocence, the Prisoner did not request for the commutation of his sentence.
