Mr. Tsui assisted Prisoner to get into employment in weaving factories those earlier years and had personally eye-witnessed

Prisoner had turned a deaf ear to Mr. Tsui and seered unable to shake away his affiliation with undesirable elements.. Mr. Tsui was however quite unaware of Prisoner's situation these 4 to 5 years but was of the knowledge that Frisoner had been leading an unbridled way of life which directly or indirectly led to the separation of his first co-habit wife; who brought along the children with her when she left; and had become out of trace ever since,

Speaking of Prisoner's character, Mr. Tsui regards him as the simple-minded but impulsive kind of person who tends to become easily influenced by others. However, Prisoner was said quite a responsible person as he had been sending regular remittance as means of livelihood for the aged parents and family members in China.

Came in 1977, Cheung used to live together with her younger brother in Tsuen Wan. She had been a seamstress and became acquainted with Prisoner through friends introduction some time in 1979. She started cohabitation with Prisoner later... but only briefly : ter that. Prisoner became arrested for present offence. At present, Madam Cheung had to resume employment in a garment factory in order to earn her own living; and her younger brother had moved to live in the some cubicle so as to look after each other. She was paying visits to Prisoner at regular interval and had no concrete plan about her future while at the present stage.

Marian Cheung showed to have admiration of Prisoner's mature and protective sort of personality. Frisoner was capable of supporting her a financially stable livelihood; and he was also described to be a tender and responsible husband, Prisoner was not regarded the temperamental type and Madan Cheung expressed that Prisoner was capable of relating with most people and was always willing to help his friends and he had been easy-going with money. Prisoner was said to have little bad habits. He did not drink and smoked only a little. Apart from horse-betting, he was net indulged in other forms of gambling activities. Though Madan Cheung was also well aware that Prisoner had been making association with undesirable elements; she related that Prisoner had started to make up his mind to reform as soon as their cohabitation relationship began. Prisoner had given up keeping the apartment house and had the intention to run a decent business. He was about to start operating a garage in partnership with a friend; and Madam Cheung was convinced that Prisoner had the genuine intention to shake away the yolk of his former associates and relations. Somehow he became soft-hearted and became persuaded to give his associates a helping hand which eventually led him into present predicament,
