The Pathologist found over thirty stab wounds on

the deceased's body, including stab wounds of the right lung and liver and a deep gaping cut wound to the neck, any of which was capable of being fatal.

BACKGROUND

It was the Crown's case that the deceased was murdered

by the petitioner and C

ng who were acting as executioners following the deceased's attempt to cheat fellow

drug traffickers.

10.

The jury found both the petitioner and CHENG guilty of murder; it is clear that by so doing they rejected the evidence put forward by the defence.

11.

The petitioner has two previous convictions, one for attempted robbery in 1977 and another for professing to be an office bearer of a triad society, for which he was sentenced respectively to 18 months imprisonment and 9 months imprisonment, suspended

for two years.

DEFENCE

12.

Both accused gave evidence at trial. The petitioner called a witness to give evidence of an alibi.
