(1)

On 13th January, 1981, your humble Petitioner was convicted in the High

Court of Hong Kong, upon a verdict of a Jury of seven persons, of the offence of

murdering CHAN Wun-hing, alias Peter and was for that offence sentenced to suffer

death in the manner as prescribed by law.

(2)

On 30th November, 1981 the appeal of your humble Petitioner was dismissed

by the Court of Appeal and he is now a condemned prisoner awaiting execution for

the offence of murder.

Your humble Petitioner is seeking the mercy of your Excellency the

Governor to save him from this punishment.

(4)

Your humble Petitioner is now aged 26, having been born on 25 th December

1955 in Canton, China and has lived continuously in this Colony since 1973. He

received schooling up to Upper-middle 2 level. He is still single.

Your humble Petitioner has been in regular and gainful employment since

leaving school. He was a hawker and prior to the incident, he worked as a

T.V. Salesman earning about $2,000 per month.
