Mr CHENG said that he had no idea of the prisoner's outside connection and activities, but on the other hand he believed that the prisoner was influenced and manipulated in the present incident. Speaking on behalf of his younger brother, Mr CHENG wished that the prisoner could be given a chance to turn anew.

Madam POON stated that she knew very little about the prisoner.

She felt that he was an ordinary young man.

Madam CHENG was interviewed at her elder brother's abode at No. 1, Chi Fong Street, Hip Tak Building, Block D, 9/F, Kwai Fong, N.T.

She considered the prisoner She gave favourable comments on the prisoner.

To submissive, mild in disposition, sociable and playful in character. demonstrate his good nature, she related a childhood-event in which the prisoner took no retaliation after he was badly bullied by street urchins. Hence, she wondered if it was possible for him to take part in such an aggressive and brutal act. She earnestly begged on behalf of the prisoner for leniency.

Mr TSUI had known the prisoner for four years but only regarded the latter as his ordinary friend. He commented that basically the prisoner was timid and submissive in nature.
