receptionist at Washington Guest House in Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon. In his work he came to know Ah Wun, partner of the co-accused and WONG Hon-kwai, alias Ah Kwai, who took over his job which he quitted after holding for a month.

According to the prisoner; the co-accused invited him to Ah Wun's residence some- where at Ngau Tau Kok, Kowloon on 17.10.1979.Unfortunately he was unable to rocall the address. There the prisoner,âh Ming and two other persons were requested to prevent WONG Hon-kwni, alias Ah Kwai from leaving. the house. He did as he was told and realized that the matter was connected with money involved in the trafficking of dangerous drugs. He stayed there until 19.10.1979 when the co-accused, Ah Wun and some others including Ah Lam returned to the said premises with the deceased. The prisoner alleged that the deceased agreed to compensate Ah Wun with $16,500 or a mortgage of its equivalent amount. As requested, he accompanied the deceased together with Ah Lam and Ah Ming in a car to fetch the money or mortgage. In Mong Kok, the deceased was allowed to go home alone. Unfortunately, the deceased failed to return with the money or things for mortgage. Upon proposal of the deceased to borrow money from a friend, they then went to the scene in that evening. On arrival, the prisoner and the deceased alighted from the car but he was suddenly attacked by the deceased. He made for his escape back to the car after Ah Lam and Ah Ming came to rescue him and fought with the deceased. The latter were seen with blood on them upon their return. He asked what had happened but nobody answered his question. Afterwards he was driven to his dwelling place at No. 4 Ping Fu Path, Ming Tak Building, 1/F, front portion, Kwai Chung, N.T. the same night.

The prisoner moved out of the captioned address after the present incident. He was arrested in a wooden hut somewhere at Fu Yung Shan, Tsuen Wan, N.T. on 8.11.1979.
