In accordance with Clause XXXIV of the Royal Instruction I report
upon the case of
convicted by a jury on Friday 28th day
of August 1981 and sentenced by me to death for the murder on 28th
a female, aged about 17 years.

BACKGROUND
From about May 1980 the convict shared a hut numbered 9 Tung
Village, near Tsz Wan Shan Estate, New Kowloon with the deceased
and her brother
aged 25 years.
This hut had been
purchased by all three in May 1980 for $5,500. The share for
deceased and her brother being $3,500 : On 28th January 1980
saved a balance of $1,500 in respect of his and deceased
share to convict who had advanced that sum in payments.
All three were born in Mainland China.
The convict came to Hong
Kong in October 1978.

and was followed by his sister, the deceased, sometime later in 1979.
The convict is a cousin of
all three are Hakkas.
