blow to him to lose his girlfriend of three years standing, the girl he had hoped to marry. The petitioner gave evidence that prior to the actual killing, when he had suspected something was wrong, he had developed insomnia, was absent- minded at work, and that his character had changed emotionally. He has no previous convictions.

RECOMMENDATION

21.

If it is decided to commute the death sentence I recommend that a sentence of 15 years be imposed.
