he was planning to sell the deceased some watches.
then announced to the other two that, to his great
surprise, one of his former customers from abroad had
turned up again in Hong Kong and was staying in the
Hong Kong Hotel. The Appellant said further in evidence
that he jotted down the number of the room on a cigarette
packet. He also admitted that both the other accused
came to his place on the afternoon of the 27th June
when he dressed the 1st accused's wounded hand. He said
he had then been told about a bit about the struggle
with his customer in the Hong Kong Hotel. Dealing with
his visit to Taipei this Appellant said that he had
close relatives in Taiwan. When he went there after
the 27th June, 1979, this was the second occasion in
that year. When he came back he was surprised at the
police meeting him and arresting him at the Kai Tak
Aerodrome.

THAT the relevant part of the cautioned
statement on which the Crown relied was at page 11 et seq
of that statement as follows:-
"Q.
When did you meet at your home the
next day to discuss the robbing of
Mr. Teyfour!
A.
About 11 p.m. the next day, Ah Sha
and Ah Yuen (the other two accused)
went to my former abode and we
discussed how to rob Mr. Teyfour.
Q. What was the outcome of your discussion?
