It was not possible for him to carry
out the plan himself because he would
have been recognised by the deceased.
So an agreement was made with two other
people (i.e. the 1st and 2nd accused
at the trial) that they would actually
carry out the burglary (or robbery).
On the morning of the crime this Appellant
saw these two other persons again in a
restaurant near the place where the
Appellant was at that time living.
(viii) The aforesaid two persons managed to
get into Room 1175 of the Hong Kong Hotel,
the room of the deceased, when it was
empty, but he came back to the room and
surprised them when they were both still
there.
(ix)
These two persons then both used knives
on the deceased who suffered a total of
8 stabbed wounds, of which at least one
was fatal, possibly two others might
have been fatal and all eight did serious
bodily injury to the deceased.

These two other persons then came directly
to the place where the Appellant was living
where they divided up the "loot".

The Appellant shortly afterwards left for
Taipei, Taiwan, but came back two months
