I was shocked and surprised to learn than Christine Vertucci, co-director of the Asia Monitor Resource Center, has been refused a visa extension by your government.

I am familiar with Chris and the Asia Monitor group, and I cannot imagine why this action was taken.

I hope you will take steps to reconsider this action. I would hate to see Hong Kong develop the human rights reputation of Korea, the Philippines, or Taiwan.
