Dear Sir,

We have learned of the Hong Kong Immigration Department's refusal to grant Christine Vertucci an Extension of stay in Hong Kong.

In 1979 we spent some time in Hong Kong, and had the pleasure of meeting miss Vertucci. After a typhoon, recorded as the worst to have hit Hong Kong for Eight years, we watched her work with The Yaumater boat dwellos, who had been rendered homeless, by the viclent storm. We were touched by her dedication and hard work, in trying to relieve the suffering of those unfortunate people, and her contribution to the

welfare of the Hong Kong people.

We have writen to our constituency M.P. abant Miss Vertucci, hoping that he can enlighten is, as to The reason for the refusal to grant Miss Vertucci an Extension of her Employment visa.

We take this opportunity to ask you for some Explanation regarding this matter, and to

Urge you to allow Miss Vertices to contine her work in Hong Kong

Yours Sincerly Mr Bill Jack
