Letter sent to: Sir Murray MacLehose, Governor, and to Sir Philip Haddon-Cave,

Chief Secretary, Central Government Office.

Dear Sir,

We have learned of the Hong Kong Immigration--Department's

refusal to grant Christine Vertucci an extension of stay in Hong Kong. Or belaïf

of my organisation in Bangladesh and expressing the strong sympathy of our

friends and readers of the library, I want to let you know that we support Chris-

tine Vertucci's appeal to have her employment visa extended. We urge you to

allow her to continue her work in Hong Kong, as we feel the Asia Popitor Resour-

ce Center is an essential service for all people in Asia.

Hoping you may reconsider your decision, I am, Sir,

Yours respectfully,

Bernard Keryyn, Director

BAM International Bangladesh.
