Sir Murray MacLehose,

Governor

Government House, Hongkong

Oslo 02.09.82.

To day I read about the Hongkong Immigration-Departments refusal to grant Christine Vertucci an extension of her stay in Hongkong. As far as can see from the papers Your decision is uncorrect and not according to international standards dealing with imigrants.

I consider Christine Vertucci's work as important and a contribution to further the standards of living for the poor labour force. Her idealistic work is an example for others to follow, and she should be alowed to continue this without infringements.

As long as no reason for the action is given I considder it a political act not worthy of Your Government.

I urge You to settel this case immediately unles You want international attention to be drawn to it.

I am confident that You chare my consideration for the enforcment of human rights and for the poor people.

I shal look forward to favorable information in this case.

Respect

Yours
