INSTRUCTIONS to Our Governor in and over Our Colony of the Gilbert Islands or other Officer Administering the Government of the Colony.

We do hereby direct and enjoin and declare Our will and pleasure as follows:

1. (1) These Instructions may be cited as the Gilbert Islands Royal Citation, Instructions 1976.

(2) These Instructions shall be published by exhibition at the Public ment and Office of the Governor and thereafter as soon as may be in the Gazette and shall take effect on the day on which the Gilbert Islands (Amend- ment) Order 1976 comes into operation.

(3) Without prejudice to anything lawfully done thereunder, the Gilbert Islands Royal Instructions 1975(a) shall cease to have effect on the taking effect of these Instructions.

Provided that in the case of any law made by the Governor under section 58 of the Constitution the words of enactment shall be Enacted by the Governor in accordance with the provisions of section 58 of the Constitution of the Gilbert Islands ".

(b) All Ordinances shall be distinguished by titles, and shall be divided into successive sections consecutively numbered, and to every section there shall be annexed in the margin or at its head a short indication of its contents.
