Amend the Immigration Ordinance.

Enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the

advice and consent of the Legislative Council

thereof.

Short title and

commencement.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the

Immigration (Amendment) (No. 2) Ordinance 1982 and shall

come into operation on 1 January 1983.

Amendment of section 2. (Cap. 115.)

Section 2(1) of the principal Ordinance is

(a) by inserting, in their appropriate

alphabetical order, the following

definitions

(1981 c.61.)" ""the 1981 Act" means the British

Nationality Act 1981;

"by descent", in relation to a British

Dependent Territories citizen,

means a person who has such status

"by descent" by virtue of sections

16 and 25 of the 1981 Act!
