The Status of BCs in Hong Kong and of BDTCs in UK
A comparison of the immigration status
of BCs in Hong Kong and BDTC immigrants in UK
is set out below.
BCS (UK belongers)
2.
In common with Chinese residents, i.e.
immigrant aliens wholly or partly of Chinese race
who have been ordinarily resident in Hong Kong for
a continuous period of not less than seven years,
BCs cannot be deported except on the
order of the Governor in Council
(a) where a court has found the
subject guilty of an offence
punishable with imprisonment
for not less than two years and
the court has recommended
deportation; or
(b) after consideration of a report
by a Deportation Tribunal; or
