45.

A woman who has been living in permanent association with a mon has no claim to enter but may be admitted, subject to the requirements of paragraphs 2 and 3, as if she were his wife, due account being taken of any local custom or tradition tending to establish the permanence of the association. A woman is not, however, to be admitted under this provision unless any previous marriage by either party has permanently broken down. For may she be admitted if the man has already been joined by his wife, or another woman admitted under this paragraph, whether or not the relationship

still subsists.

Children

46. If the requirements of paragraphs 42 and 43 are satisfied, children under 18, provided that they are unmarried, are to be admitted for settlement

(a) if both parents are settled in the United Kingdom, or
