Figures for 1972

Figures for 1977

**

1976 include CPG passport holders with onward visas;

1980 exclude CPG passport holders with onward visas.

Estimates are calculated on the basis of 90% evaders who surfaced for identity cards, and 10% of evaders who would never surface. Estimates for Jul & Aug 1970 have been adjusted by C & S Dept. on 7-10-80. However, adjustment of Sept 1980 figure and estimated No. of evaders for Oct 1980 onwards are not available from C & S Dept. owing to the effect of new immigration policy.
