When the Bill is published, a press release will be issued. This will emphasize that the changes are not of substance, but are consequential to the BNA 1981 changes in nomenclature. If the Bill is published on the same day as the Immigration (Amendment) (No 2) Bill 1982, then the planned press release will deal with both Bills. If not, a suitable, but separate press release will be issued.

Members will be asked to advise whether the British Nationality Act 1981 (Consequential Amendments) Bill 1982, as annexed, should be introduced into the Legislative Council.
