It must also be borne in mind that the figures in Table C include Possession of Forged Identity Card offences: 3rd Quarter 1981 - 74, 4th Quarter 1981 78, 1st Quarter 1982 - 107 and 2nd Quarter 1982 - 90.

The figures for the 2nd Quarter of 1982 reflect a small improvement over the preceding three quarters, but the base is insufficient to form a view on the general trend. The figures for 1981 and the first half of 1982 are more suitable for this purpose.
