10. Article 33 prevents the repatriation of any refugee at all whose life or freedom will be threatened on his return on account of his "....race.....membership of a particular social group or political opinion". It is a matter of judgment on the particular facts of any case whether a refugee falls into such category.

11. Article 32 applies to those refugees who have achieved lawful status (e.g. as a re-settled refugee, or the equivalent in a country of first resort).
