I have been asked to reply to your letter of 25 August to the Prime Minister, enclosing a copy of your proposal for a joint venture Deep Bay International Airport.

I understand that the Hong Kong Government are carefully considering your proposal. The question of a replacement airport

for Hong Kong is of course one on which they, rather than Her Majesty's Government, will have to make a decision, but I am most grateful to you for sending a copy of your proposal to the Prime Minister.
