1. I had lunch yesterday with Jeremy Marriott who used to be an administrative officer in the Hong Kong Government and is now associated with the large

recreation development at Discovery Bay in Lanta Island

2.

He told me that the first stage of the development is nearly complete. The developers would not make a profit of this stage but were certain of making an increasingly large profit on subsequent stages. However, they were not at this time proposing to go ahead with any subsequent stages until the future of Hong Kong was more certain.
