1. Sir Edward Youde asked me the other day for any material · available on Macao, particularly its present administration, history and any treaties or international agreements pertaining to it.

2. I imagine you will have some material but I have just come across the attached amongst our own papers on the future of Hong Kong. It is a paper prepared by Research Department at our request in the middle of last year. You may not have seen it before. Before I pass it to Sir Edward Youde perhaps you would confirm that, so far as you are aware, it is still relevant and accurate.
