2. ZHU Mai seems an interesting character, although I have not been able to trace any connection he may have had with Hong Kong. My researches have shown, however, that he has made an odd choice in the High and Mighty Company Limited of Tsimshatsui as a company in which to gain commercial experience. According to our records, High and Mighty was formed in July 1977 as an import and export company (commodities unspecified) with a nominal capital of HK$100,000, divided into 100 shares of $1,000. It is essentially a family business (its three directors are a husband and wife team plus the wife's twin sister).

3. The more usual training grounds for Chinese officials seeking commercial experience in Hong Kong, are of course China's own economic and commercial agencies here e.g. Bank of China or one of its subsidiaries, China Resources Company or the relatively newly established provincial or municipal State trading agencies with offices in Hong Kong.
