Visit to Hong Kong by the Chief Works Officer

and Director General of Works, DHSS

I enclose a self-explanatory letter from the Chief Works Officer and Director General of Works, DHSS to Mr. Bridgewater, the Senior Electronics Engineer in the Public Works Department here. As you will see, Mr. Bolton has sought our help in arranging for a private recreational visit to China. I assume Mr. Bolton has cleared his lines within the DHSS. Provided there are no objections from your point of view to his making a private visit to China we could write to him giving him some details of the day trips which are available. He could apply to the Visa Office for a visa after he arrives in Hong Kong.
