HKGD FAMILIARISATION VISIT TO HONG KONG

Mr Morris joined this Department in November 1981 taking over work on a wide range of Hong Kong issues. It would be valuable for him to visit Hong Kong for familiarisation purposes, as one of the three visits per annum that this Department is allowed.

2. I should be grateful for authority for him to visit for the normal period of 2 weeks from approximately 17 April to 1 May.

I believe that if we make bookings before the end of this month we can include this visit in our 1981/82 allocation.
