5. As expected my ear was bent at Immigration Department on Nationality matters, mainly by Steven Kuo(who is visiting the UK shortly) and on refugees by UNHCR representatives and the US Consulate's refugees coordinator.
6. I am dealing separately with a few 'action' points. The only real areas of concern in addition to those mentioned above

7. I sent thank you notes to all concerned the day I left Hong Kong but, as Mr Williamson has suggested, it might be nice if Mr Clift were to drop Mr McLaren a line. A draft is attached.
