PRIME MINISTER'S SPEECHES IN CHINA
1. I attach a reworked version of the first draft of the Prime Minister's main speech in Hong Kong.
I imagine that the advice of the Governor or Political Adviser has been sought on the advisability of saying so much about the British economy? It would seem to be of only indirect relevance to their more immediate concerns: but of course there is a limit to what Mrs Thatcher can say about that.
