Proposal

PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO HONG KONG

1. There are a number of miscellaneous points requiring attention on this portion of the tour.

2. We would be grateful to know whether the set of silver medallions proposed by the hosts at the businessman's lunch as a momento for the Prime Minister will be acceptable. (see Hong Kong telegram 1897)

3. Hong Kong ask whether it will be convenient for the

Prime Minister to have her hair appointment on Sunday

26 September at the hairdressers, as opposed to Government House. (See Hong Kong telegram 877 of 16 August).

4. The Political Department support the proposal that the nowbee Prime Minister might meet a small delegation, consisting of Submitted both appointed and elected members, from the Hong Kong Urban

through Private office at Jequer of Mo. 10.

Council. The Governor's view is that this would be helpful in the context of consultation of Hong Kong opinion. (Please see paragraph 7 of my letter of 20 August to Caroline Stephens about Hong Kong telegram 876).
