PRIME MINISTER'S VISIT TO THE FAR EAST

1. I submit a self-explanatory draft letter to No 10 putting forward an outline

programme for the Prime Minister's visits

to Japan and China. The need to put forward the outline at this stage arises from the · intention of Sir H Cortazzi, who has just started his mid-tour leave in the UK, to call on Mr Coles tomorrow (25 June) to discuss the visit to Japan.
