Sir Elly Kadoorie and Sons Ltd, and Chairman or Managing
Director of numerous other companies, as well as being Chairman
of China Light and Power Co Ltd.

JOHN LOUIS MARDEN CBE
Chairman of the Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce.
Born 1919. Educated at Cambridge University, where he studied
economics and law. A captain in the Royal Horse Artillery
during World War II. Joined Wheelock Marden and Co Ltd as a
trainee in 1946, became a Director in 1952, and Chairman in
1959.
NORMAN SINCLAIR THOMPSON CBE
Chairman, Mass Transit Railway Corporation.
Born 1920. Educated in UK. Worked for a number of shipping and related companies. Became Managing Director of Cunard Steamship
Co Ltd in 1971. Took over the present chairmanship of MTR in
1974.
Married to Peggy, two children.
