INTERVIEW WITH THE

1. I understand that when Mr Atkins was interviewed about

his visit to China and Hong Kong by Mr Ron Jones for

''Deutsche Welle' on Thursday 21 January he agreed to a

request from Mr Jones to be interviewed for the programme

''BFBS UK for which Mr Jones also works.

2. The programme goes out each week from Monday to Friday and recordings are made each day between 11.00 and 13.00.

BFBS have now formally asked for Mr Atkins to appear on one of their programmes and have asked that we let them know a

date and time when Mr Atkins can attend their studio to

record an interview.

3.

4.

The topics they have in mind to cover are :

a) The role of the Lord Privy Seal

the title and the duties involved.

Ev

the origin of

b) Mr Atkins' visit to China and Hong Kong.

c)

A brief conversation on Mr Atkins' period in

Ulster with particular reference to the work of

the troops there.

I should be grateful for your advice on how I should reply.
