1. You will have seen Alan Butler's minute to me of 1 June, regarding the forthcoming visit of the House of Commons select Committee on Defence to the Far East at the end of June.
2. I have drafted some briefing for their visit and would be grateful for your early views (bearing in mind the deadline) before submitting it to David Gillmore and the Parliamentary Commissioner and Committees Unit. I hope that other addressees will comment too.
